Life with God

Together

The new funding for spiritual development through the Faithfully Forward campaign aims to expose, disciple, and mobilize students, faculty, and staff into deeper relationship with Christ, His Church, and the world around us. Wheaton College is uniquely situated as a global center and beacon for faith and learning. These resources will enhance existing programming, expand programming to reach more students, staff, and faculty, and encourage new and innovative spiritual formation and discipleship opportunities as we continue to lead the next generation of disciples.

“Giving to the Life with God Together (LWGT) campaign will enhance our discipleship of students toward Christlikeness and expand the LWGT vision on campus to send them into the world to be spiritual leaders in ministry and missions mobilization, proclaiming the good news of Jesus while building the church in every corner of the world.”
Jared Falkanger '13, Director for Ministry and Evangelism
“Wheaton helped cast a vision for me of how my faith, skills, and passions are ultimately for the furthering of God’s glory through joining in how He is already at work around the world. Wheaton taught me that humility and an unwavering love for God, His Word, and His people are some of the greatest tools I can carry with me as I step into applying my faith through cross- cultural work.”
Taylor Chiles '24
“Through Life with God Together, Wheaton is committed to a strategic, intentional spiritual formation in our campus community, through practices that create rhythms and space for the Spirit to move and work, conforming us to the image of Christ. I can't wait to see what these amazing young men and women do with this spiritual foundation.”

Strategic Priorities

    1. Enhancing Chapel Programming  – Chapel continues to be the central pillar on campus for gathering our community in worship and preaching of the word of God. It is getting more expensive to host leading voices in the arts, theology, missions, and business. To continue bringing such individuals to campus today, Wheaton must now offer competitive compensation.

    2. Life with God Together Mini-Grant  The LWGT Grant would promote creative and entrepreneurial ministry and discipleship programs that encourage crossover of faculty, staff, students, and departments under the core pillars of the LWGT framework. This funding amount would be divided into grant monies to fund projects as well as staffing support to sustain the programming.

    3. Life with God Together Conferences  – Students, Staff, and Faculty continue to coordinate spiritually enriching conferences on campus every year with minimal resources. This conference fund would specifically support on-campus, spiritually formative conferences. Examples of this could include Men’s and Women’s conferences and Missions in Focus.
    1. Student Ministry Leadership Stipends – Special attention is given to recruit and retain student ministry leaders who may not be able to commit to these positions because of the necessity or competition of paid work.

    2. Student Ministry Leadership Training and Resources  – Spiritual formation curriculum resources and training include both print and digital materials for students, staff, and faculty around discipleship and evangelism, as well as regularly occurring leadership training events on and off campus.
    1. Strengthening Global Ministry through Travel – Encourage and financially support students, faculty, and staff participation in ministry opportunities with partners around the world.

    2. Missions and Ministry Conference Scholarship Subsidize student attendance at missional conferences to catalyze and facilitate ministry passion and connections. These conferences include Urbana, Missio Nexus, Christian Community Development Association, and Lausanne.
