Wheaton Thunder Athletics is committed to shaping Christian faith, strong character, and lasting leadership—built through meaningful relationships with coaches and teammates who invest in our student-athletes both on and off the field.

The Faithfully Forward campaign will upgrade the varsity athletics facilities to build on our history of competitive distinction, bolster recruitment of top-tier student-athletes, and reflect our legacy of doing all things for the glory of God.

“The new and improved facilities will allow all student-athletes to receive proper recovery and care in the training facilities and open the ability for more effective and flexible training in the new weight room. Just as importantly, these improvements will reflect Christ’s love by allowing us to extend intentional hospitality to visiting teams, officials, and other guests.”
Soren Richardson '27
“As a student-athlete, I am excited for what these facility upgrades mean for the next generation at Wheaton, especially the dedicated locker rooms for each team. I am thankful they will be able to create special bonds and memories with their teammates in these spaces. Having dedicated weight and training facilities for athletes will also make a huge difference in preparation and recovery.”
Gracie Crowder '27
“This is a significant moment in the history of Wheaton athletics. These improvements will allow us to continue our long-standing tradition of excellence while opening recreational space for the rest of the campus. This project will also improve our ability to attract recruits while enhancing the overall experience of our enrolled student-athletes. Recruitment is getting more competitive, and facilities matter.”
Mike Schauer '93, Athletics Director, Head Men's Basketball Coach
